Lake View Tapas Bar - The Spanish Square

Get your fix of Spanish meats and more when The Spanish Square, a combination tapas bar and market, opens in Lakeview. Offerings will include chorizo, salchichon and lomo sausages, and in back, jamon Iberico. (Alejandro J. Mallado Erbez)

The Spanish Square, aiming to be a one-stop destination for Spanish food, wine and culture, will open later this summer in Lakeview.

Husband-wife duo Manuel Moreno and Mara Baer are behind the project, located at 1358 W. Belmont Ave. The space will include a tapas bar, retail wine shop (purchased wines may be enjoyed at the bar for a nominal table-service fee), retail market (selling Spanish seafood, cheeses and other ingredients, along with ceramics, paella pans and more) and space for events and entertainment.

Follow the project’s progress and upcoming events at or on Facebook.
